Tram Tau is a highland district in the southwest region of Yen Bai and about 114km from the center. This location is famous for its beautiful natural scenery of mountains and forests, cool weather and beautiful meanderings. From Tram Tau we can easily move to Muong La, Bac Yen or Mu Cang Chai.

3.Directions to Tram Tau
From Hanoi we can travel to Tram Tau by motorbike or bus. If you choose to ride a motorbike, you follow Thang Long route to Highway 21 in Son Tay, reach Khe Pass, then continue along Nghia Lo Street to reach Tram Tau. Remember to note that the roads here are mainly mountain roads, bumpy and difficult to drive, so you must have a very steady handle and be well prepared to go.
If traveling by bus, you can go to My Dinh station to catch a bus to Nghia Lo. After arriving, we just need to rent a motorbike to Tram Tau and explore. The bus companies running the Hanoi – Nghia Lo (Yen Bai) route are Dung Thao bus company, Hoa Binh bus company… If you don’t know where to rent a motorbike, you can ask a local person for directions.
4.Discover the beauty of Tram Tau Yen Bai
One of the outstanding places that you must definitely visit when coming to Tram Tau is Ta Xua. Ta Xua is located in Ban Cong commune of Tram Tau, known as one of the 10 highest mountains in our country. Its highest peak is 2865m high and is often compared to the “back of the dinosaur”. People who come here love to trek to admire the majestic natural scenery, hunt for floating clouds or immerse themselves in a real fairyland between heaven and earth.

Ta Si Lang commune has 100% of the population being H’Mong people, possessing many unique cultural features that are not found in large numbers. The commune borders Ban Mu of Tram Tau district at an altitude of 2000m above sea level. The terrain is quite dangerous, so tourists who want to travel to Ta Si Lang also encounter countless difficulties, but that’s also what makes backpackers extremely excited. Visitors to Ta Si Lang can not only explore H’Mong villages, culture and typical delicacies, but also admire the extremely poetic natural scenery.
Cu Vai village is located on a high mountain top in Xa Ho commune, there are several dozen households living together and 80% are Mong people.
