Pu Dao Lai Chau is a highland commune of Nam Nhun district (formerly Sin Ho district), located about 13 km from Muong Lay town. In Mong language, Pu Dao means “the highest point” because this commune is located precariously on a high mountain, in a remote and isolated location, more difficult to access than other communes in the district.

Pu Dao Lai Chau commune consists of 4 villages: Hong Ngai, Nam Doong, Nam Dac and Hong Ty. People here mainly do traditional farming, preserving the long-standing indigenous culture. The scenery here is like a fairyland, not inferior to Bach Moc Luong Tu or Fansipan peaks of Lao Cai.
